This was produced for a workshop in ImagineFX issue 21 as more of an exercise in aging techniques than a tutorial in painting. The main inspiration was old EC comics although I wasn't trying for a literal copy. There are elements of Pulp Novel covers in there as well. I've since discovered a couple of old movies called 'Lover Come Back', including one with Lucille Ball and another with Doris Day and Rock Hudson but Rock Hudson never looked like this!
